Friends, on the 15th of January Galina and I attended the annual reception at the largest charity organisation in Germany, the Association of Workers and Samaritans (ASB).
The event was chaired by Mr Gunter Arndt, the head of the ASB in Hamburg.
I was pleased that among other significant initiatives, Mr Arndt mentioned our project: "Psychological support for victims of war in Ukraine".
The reception was attended by the Ukrainian delegation, including the Consul General of Ukraine in Hamburg Iryna Tibinka.
Mr Mykola Litvynenko, Director of the Kremenchug Regional Clinical Hospital for War Veterans, addressed the participants of the reception from Ukraine. He thanked ASB G for its assistance, including in the problem of providing palliative care to patients, and shared the plans of the Samaritans Union of Ukraine.
At the end of his speech Mr Litvinenko presented awards to some ASB employees for helping the people of Ukraine.
During the reception we had a chance to warmly communicate with our colleague Mykola Litvinenko and other representatives of the Ukrainian delegation.
We not only took pictures, but also exchanged contacts.
I hope that this is just the beginning to our further co-operation in providing various types of assistance to the victims of war in Ukraine.
